Our local pool has a series of swim tests that the kids can train for and pass in order to become proficient swimmers. Isaac completed the first level (green fish) that certifies him as a proficient swimmer and allows him to swim anywhere in the pool (even the deep end!) all by himself.

He is an amazing swimmer. During the last two summers he has all but refused to participate in the lessons, opting instead to teach himself on the side of the pool. Right before this test he did finally relent and participate in lessons for two weeks so he could practice swimming lengths of the pool without breathing. It has been my great pleasure to watch him learn to swim. It is amazing what potential lies within each person. One of my greatest joys as a mother is watching my children accomplish something that makes them stronger and more confident. Yea Isaac!
