summer in review

this has been a busy summer...here's the review:
*devan and i spent a week in dc ALONE. it was like heaven, but it was my parents house. went to gobind's wedding, ate lots of good treats, and watched lots of movies. did other things that i can't write about :)
* ike turned 2, had a fun birthday party, learned to bowl in the house
* avery graudated from preschool, had some weird shyness episode during the ceremony, but recovered by the time the food was served. imagine that.
* olivia turned 30 something some day between ike turning 2 and...
*avery turned 5 and had a friend birthday party at the park where she proceeded to lift everyone up just to prove she is the strongest. went over remarkably well with the boys she lifted. amazing.
*avery also finished up her year of dance with a beautiful performance at chabot college. i cried. it was awesome!
* my beloved friend, caren, moved into town with her car load of kids and hubbie. yea for great friends!
*made beautiful bread for the first time...the trick? use fresh flour. not 30+ year old flour. oooohhh!
*visited ardenwood historic farm, picked up chickens.
* gave our old blue couch to the garbage man and got a new blue couch from ikea.
* lots of skateboarding in the driveway done by all.
*read books
*devan hung me a new shelf for all the rest of our stuff we finally got from our az storage unit.
* avery fell in love with our neighbor's bird. he likes her too.
*lots of FHE's...every monday in fact. :)
*got to play with GMMJB and Poppop, Kristina and Fernando.
*visited Inverness, CA with family for a week in the woods climbing trees, building forts.
*made goop
*apparently i didn't catch the repeated pictures. sorry about that. let's blame it on picasa.

special shout out to my mom and dad...this summer couldn't have happened like it did without them. too bad i don't have any pictures of them in here...we can blame that on kristina. but we won't. she's busy. we'll just remind her that we're still waiting for them. :) love you kris!

two weeks and school starts. what's left on our list? waterworld, camping, another wedding, and cole's birthday. here's hoping we can fit it all in!
