On his way to EFY...alone!!

can you see him in line?  alone???

 this summer chas did something that nearly caused me to die of fright until i was able to get over myself. he traveled to Idaho all alone to attend an EFY (especially for youth program with our church). while he has flown alone many times, he has never flown to one state and then hopped on a bus in another to take a four hour road trip up to the wilderness. i was a nervous wreck inside, but excited for him to start branching out on his own as well. he did great, which was no surprise at all. chas is incredibly self-sufficient and has more common sense than most adults. thankfully, he also had devan's excellent aunt and uncle in salt lake city help him get from the airport to the bus safely so it was all good. more a learning experience for me than for chas! the EFY went well and he enjoyed his time in Idaho. crazy how quickly he's growing up. only three and a half years left before he's an adult. where'd the time go???
