we dropped avery and chas off for a play date after school today. on the way home cole and i had the following conversation...
mom: well, since the others get treats today don't you think we should go get a treat too? maybe ice cream or something for after dinner?
cole: like baskin robbins?
mom: well i was thinking something we could bring home, but baskin robbins sounds good. (actually, it sounds like heaven but i'm trying not to exaggerate...remember?) should we go now BEFORE dinner?
cole: well actually, mom, getting to spend time alone with you is like having a treat.
mom: wow cole. that just made me feel so good. thanks for saying that.
cole: no problem. it's true.
mom: thanks. can we still go get ice cream?
cole: maybe after dinner mom.
mom: alriiiiiiiiiiight.
oh how i love cole. if ever i'm feeling poorly about myself i can always spend time with cole and leave his side feeling better. he's a jasper from twilight of sorts. power to uplift hearts and make one feel happy. only he's much cuter than that jasper guy and a WAY better actor.

I have to agree w/ Cole-- it is a treat being with you. (And I am starving!) What a cutie Cole. Miss you guys.
