our first real conversation...

last night isaac came to me holding avery's my little pony highchair and mini-pony that goes with it. here's how the "real" conversation went...

mom: ike, please don't break that. it belongs to avery.

ike: momma, broken! (at which point he holds it up to show me that the highchair has separated into two pieces. not really broken, but he couldn't figure out how to put it together)

mom: do you want me to fix it?

ike: yes (sounds like 'jes'. it's so cute.)

mom: ok. (i fix it and hand it back to him.) here you go.

ike: thank you. (sounds like 'tae-you'. and he runs off to play my little pony.)

wow. we actually communicated in words entirely. it seems simple, but it was awesome!

as a side note: this week he learned the L sound. lucky is the word of the moment.

here's his latest outing...skateboard park. he is IN LOVE with scooters. doesn't want to ride on one, just push it around endlessly. boy i love this stinker.

ike can name most of the face parts now too. here he's telling me 'nose'. he's got eyes, nose, cheeks, chin, mouth, teeth and eyebrows down great. he's still trying to remember where my ears, tongue, and forehead are. he's brillant. :)

oh! isaac screams like crazy. all stinking day long. here's hoping he starts saying please when he's supposed to real soon. my ears are in real need of those ear plugs that helped you through the mission. :)
